Resident Commissioner Announces $1,180,584 for Puerto Rico’s Early Head Start Program at the Family Strengthening Center
These federal funds will support the Early Head Start program at the Family Strengthening Center of Puerto Rico, helping improve the education and well-being of children from low-income or impoverished families
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Puerto Rico’s Resident Commissioner, Pablo José Hernández, announced today that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a grant of $1,180,584 to the Early Head Start program at the Family Strengthening Center (ESCAPE) of Puerto Rico. These funds will help advance the education and well-being of children from low-income or impoverished families.
“Today, I announce the availability of this funding for the Early Head Start program, which represents a direct investment in the future of our children and the well-being of Puerto Rican families. We will continue working to ensure that our most vulnerable communities have access to the resources they need to move forward,” said Hernández.
The Family Strengthening Center is a private, nonprofit organization that has been operating in Puerto Rico since 1983.
