WASHINGTON, D.C. – El Comisionado Residente de Puerto Rico, Pablo José Hernández Rivera, emitió la siguiente declaración sobre los aranceles anunciados por el Presidente:

“Los aranceles del Presidente probablemente encarecerán los productos básicos, afectarán las cadenas de suministro y golpearán la economía de Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. No obstante, debemos aprovechar las oportunidades que pueden presentar para la relocalización de industrias a Puerto Rico”.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Homeland Security Counterterrorism and Intelligence Subcommittee approved Puerto Rico Resident Commissioner Pablo José Hernández’s Strengthening Oversight of DHS Intelligence Act (H.R. 2261). This legislation is designed to improve homeland security information and intelligence at DHS. The bill protects the privacy, civil liberties, and constitutional rights of U.S. citizens in Puerto Rico and across the U.S.

Esta legislación está diseñada para mejorar la información y la inteligencia en materia de seguridad interna dentro del Departamento de Seguridad Interna (DHS, por sus siglas en inglés).
